This is your cookbook, If I reference a recipe in a blog, you will find instructions here…

Bubble mix

1 part dishwashing liquid

3 parts water

Combine and test, I recommend using Earth or home brand dishwashing liquid here in Australia as they have given me the best results.

Moon Sand

Mix one part oil to 16 parts plain flour.

Salt dough

2 parts plain flour

1 part salt

1 part water

Mix salt and flour together and add the water gradually, roll out and cut into the desired shape and bake at 120c for 2 hours or leave out to dry for 48 hours. Decorate with paint.

I recommend for long term use ie, Christmas decorations to seal with a thick coat of clear gloss or mog posh.

Obleck

Mix a one to one ratio of cornflour and water.

Smell Dough

Add liquid spice blends, flavouring extracts, teas, coffee, dried flowers or citrus rind to playdough as you make it.

Chia slime

Equal parts chia seeds and water, add more water if the slime becomes to thick

Flour paints

Equal parts flour and water for the base and then add a small amount or food colure or chalk until you reach the desired colure.

Glue bassed slime

Add 2 parts glue to one part saline and bicarbonate soda mix. Add food colure to taste.

Playdough

  • 3 parts flour

    2 parts salt

    1 part oil

A pinch of creme of tartar (optional)

    Food colouring (optional)

Enough water to bring it together

Add all of your dry ingredients into a bowl and mix in your oil, if you want your playdough to be marbled with flecks of colour though out add it here to. If you want your playdough  to be one solid colour, add it to the water and add enough water to bring all of it together into a smooth elastic dough. You will have to kneed the dough for about 10 minuets before use you want your dough to bounce back slightly when pressed.

Crunch sand

Combine equal parts corn flour and baby oil. I like adding oil based plant extracts for a more global sensory experience.
